  13. it may help someone who is having the modem sound problem.  In my case
  14. the semicolons weren't there to remove so I am still w/o sound.

  18. I just recently had the modem sounds problem.  No sound.
  19. I was able to fix the problem by searching for "dialsuffix" in the
  20. registry.  Then I deleted the ; entry under the Value Data box.
  21. Seems to work for me, I got sound back instantly.  If it works for you
  22. could you post this solution somewhere?   I read some post about the
  23. Rockwell chip bug when ATDT; is entered.  I think the ; somehow
  24. confuses the Rockwell chip.
