- Tim Olson <tolson@netexpress.net> asked me to post this in the event
- it may help someone who is having the modem sound problem. In my case
- the semicolons weren't there to remove so I am still w/o sound.
-
- Tim's input:
-
- I just recently had the modem sounds problem. No sound.
- I was able to fix the problem by searching for "dialsuffix" in the
- registry. Then I deleted the ; entry under the Value Data box.
- Seems to work for me, I got sound back instantly. If it works for you
- could you post this solution somewhere? I read some post about the
- Rockwell chip bug when ATDT; is entered. I think the ; somehow
- confuses the Rockwell chip.
